he Mizuno Ekiden returns for the third edition this year, with the introduction of a new category, the Running Club Category, to strengthen its position in the Singapore sports scene and beyond.
The new category is open to all running clubs in Southeast Asia that have been active for at least three months. All team members must be residents or permanent residents of any ASEAN country. All participating teams will be racing for a top prize of $2,000 cash and $1,200 worth of vouchers.
The Mizuno Ekiden aims to celebrate positive Japanese values such as perseverance, resilience and teamwork with the Ekiden-styled relay race. Accompanying the run will be a Matsuri Race Village where runners and members of public can treat themselves to delicious Japanese cuisine and take part in Japanese games and activities.
